Dr. Zaid Al-Huda (Chengdu University, Stirling College, China)
Submission Deadline: 15 September 2025
Acceptance Notification: 15 October 2025

Scope of the Special Session:

This special session aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to present and discuss the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applied to the healthcare domain. The session will cover a wide range of AI-driven healthcare solutions, from medical imaging and diagnostics to clinical decision support and personalized medicine. We welcome original research, reviews, and case studies that explore innovative AI techniques and their practical impact on healthcare systems.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Deep learning for medical image analysis: detection, segmentation, classification, registration, noise reduction, quality improvements, and so on
  • AI in clinical decision support systems
  • Natural language processing for electronic health records (EHRs)
  • Predictive modelling for disease progression and patient outcomes
  • AI applications in radiology, pathology, and genomics
  • Federated learning and privacy-preserving AI in healthcare
  • Medical data mining and knowledge discovery
  • AI for public health and epidemiology
  • Explainable and trustworthy AI in healthcare
  • Integration of LLMs and foundation models in clinical practice
  • AI-driven healthcare robotics and assistive technologies
  • Ethical, legal, and regulatory challenges in AI healthcare deployment

We encourage submissions from both academia and industry, and we especially welcome interdisciplinary research that bridges the gap between computer science and medical practice.
